Complementary software roles

Prepare in IGEMS.
Produce in Finesoft.

The two platforms form one connected workflow, with a clear handover from waterjet programming to controlled machine execution.

01 · Prepare

IGEMS CAD/CAM

Creates cutting paths, calculates process parameters and generates the machine program.

Machine-ready program →
02 · Execute

Finesoft

Runs the program in the Finecut system while controlling and monitoring the production process.

Controlled production

Developed specifically for Finecut

One interface.
Every machine layer.

Finesoft is developed and maintained by Finepart and configured to the exact specification of each Finecut system. The application-specific touchscreen workflow means operators do not need to work directly in the underlying CNC environment.

  1. 01
    Operator interface

Machine functions, process information and production controls are presented in one purpose-built touchscreen environment.

  2. 02
    FANUC CNC & motion

Finesoft connects the operator workflow to the Finecut CNC, axes and precision motion system.

  3. 03
    Cutting equipment

Cutting heads, water pressure, abrasive flow, radius compensation and installed process equipment can be controlled from the platform.

  4. 04
    Peripheral units

The individual installation can incorporate and control the equipment supplied with the selected Finecut configuration.

Job preparation & production control

From program
to repeatable job.

Settings, production information and operator notes are stored with each job, reducing manual preparation when proven work is run again.

Import & preview

Bring the program in.

Import from a network location or USB device, then preview component geometry and CNC program before production.

Build the job

Define the setup.

Create and queue jobs, set program zero points and work offsets, adjust coordinates and configure multiple-part work.

Control the process

Set the cutting conditions.

Adjust water pressure, abrasive flow and radius compensation, and control cutting heads, feeders and installed equipment.

Monitor & reuse

Keep production visible.

Follow machine position, feed rate, elapsed time and progress. Archive completed and configured jobs for repeatable production.

Process monitoring & operator support

Stay in control—
before and during the cut.

Machine status, axis positions, pressure, abrasive flow, feed rate, tool compensation and current program position remain visible from the main interface.

01

Program Check

Verifies a program before cutting without moving the machine axes.

02

Dry Run

Runs programmed movements without activating the cutting process.

03

Retrace

Moves backwards along a contour before the cutting jet is restarted.

04

Program Restart

Supports a controlled restart from a selected position after an interruption.

05

Tool Retract & Recover

Moves the cutting head away for inspection or maintenance and returns it to the interruption point.

06

Working Height Compensation

Allows controlled adjustment of cutting height during operation.

07

Single Block Operation

Executes the CNC program one block at a time for verification or specialised work.

User access & process control

Protect validated settings.

Configurable user levels restrict selected functions according to operator authorisation. Access can be controlled for water pressure, abrasive flow, radius compensation, work offsets, job archives, CNC memory and abrasive calibration—supporting consistent operation across users and shifts.

Maintenance, diagnostics & traceability

Information that supports uptime.

The Information area brings together alarms, messages, help, service information, operating-hour counters and machine logs. Finepart technicians can use this information when technical assistance is required.

The Total Productive Maintenance function can present scheduled daily, weekly and monthly checks with recurrence and recommended actions.

A continuously developing Finecut platform

Configured today.
Adaptable tomorrow.

Every Finesoft installation is matched to its Finecut system, options and applications. When the machine gains new hardware or functionality, the platform can be updated and adapted with it.

By developing the platform in-house, Finepart controls the interaction between operator software, CNC, motion system and process equipment—providing an environment designed specifically for precision micro-abrasive waterjet cutting.
