The capability behind your part

Complex materials.
Precise features.

Access Finepart's micro abrasive waterjet technology without investing in a system. We assess each job against its geometry, material, machine configuration and acceptance requirements.

Preserve material integrity

A non-thermal cutting process without a heat-affected zone. Suitable for heat-sensitive materials and combinations of materials.

Resolve demanding geometry

Fine profiles, narrow slots and small features. Achievable tolerances depend on the machine configuration as well as material, thickness and geometry. We review critical dimensions and the need for taper compensation before quoting.

Match your production needs

Discuss prototypes, small batches and repeat orders. Material supply, inspection and delivery are defined in the quotation.

Materials

Choose the material
your design needs.

Customers normally supply the material. Share the exact grade, thickness and drawing. For larger projects extending over a longer period, Finepart can assist with material purchasing by agreement.

The materials below are examples. We cut all types of materials except diamond and tempered glass. Each part is reviewed against its specific geometry, thickness and quality requirements.

Metals & alloys

Titanium, stainless steel, Nitinol and nickel alloys.

Technical ceramics

Alumina, zirconia and other demanding ceramics.

Glass & optical materials

Sapphire, fused silica, glass and silicon.

Composites & polymers

CFRP, polymers and combinations of materials.

Before you send your part

A few practical
answers.

Are these the only materials you can cut?
No. The listed materials are examples. We cut all types of materials except diamond and tempered glass. Share your material specification so we can assess the requirements for your part.
What files should I provide?
A PDF drawing with dimensions, tolerances and revision is useful for review. Include DXF for 2D profiles or STEP/STP for 3D geometry, plus the material specification. If you only have one format, send it and we will identify what else is needed.
Can I supply my own material?
Customers normally supply the material for cutting. For larger projects extending over a longer period, Finepart can assist with material purchasing by agreement. Material specifications, quantities and traceability requirements are confirmed in the quotation.
What tolerances can you achieve?
Achievable tolerances depend on machine configuration, material, thickness, geometry and the cutting approach. Mark critical dimensions on your drawing so that we can assess and confirm them.
Can we arrange an NDA first?
Contact sales@finepart.com before uploading confidential files if an NDA is required.
What about price and delivery?
Both are quoted after a technical review of the part, quantity, material supply and inspection scope. No delivery date is committed by submitting a request.
