A historic Finepart test cut a 60 × 60 mm nylon component with a total cutting length of 849 mm.
The application
The non-conductive polymer component required straight edges through substantial material thickness.
Historic result
The published cycle was 14.5 minutes, including approximately 11 minutes 30 seconds of cutting plus piercing. The component required no further finishing in the documented test.
Application value
The case illustrates Finecut's breadth beyond metals. Material grade, fixturing, moisture behaviour and final edge requirements should be reviewed for every new polymer part.
